French Train Emergency Management

"Emergency management during large-scale events" is the theme of the seminar taking place on April 8 in the hotel Kempinski Badamdar for employees of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations. The event is organized by the French Embassy and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Faiq Taghizadeh, a growing number of large-scale natural and man-made disasters dictate the need for international cooperation to address them.

Azerbaijan is in a seismic zone, where there are enterprises of the oil and chemical industry, and therefore, the issue is particularly relevant.

As noted Tagizadeh, the Emergency Situations Ministry attaches great importance to the study of international experience, including France.

The French Ambassador Pascal Monnier said that for the first time, a joint discussion brought together experts from the two countries. From France came experts in the field of industry and experts in crisis management in emergency situations.

Monier stressed the importance of enhancing capacity building in the field of emergency management in the light of the European Olympic Games, a representative meeting of Governors of the Asian Development Bank, etc.

During the seminar, the French experts will make presentations on the theme: "Managing the masses," "Civil defense and rescue area during large-scale events," "The role and practice of the French Red Cross in emergency situations during large-scale events," etc.

The seminar will also include the presentation of a number of French companies that will share their respective experiences. -06C-
