Fuad Gahramanli's fate remains unknown
Baku / 18.08.20 / Turan: The family of the arrested member of the Presidium of the Popular Front Party, Fuad Gahramanli, is worried about his life.
"There has been no news from Fuad since July 23, he has not called and we do not know what happened to him," a family member told Turan. According to him, the transfer for Gahramanli is accepted in the pre-trial detention center, but it is not clear whether he is receiving it?
“At the time of Fuad's previous arrest, we received a parcel from us and gave him his dirty clothes. Now we are told that Fuad himself does not want to change his clothes. This is very suspicious, because any person wants and should change underwear and clothes ”- continued a family member of the oppositionist.
The attempts to get comments from the Penitentiary Service remained futile.
Fuad Gahramanli was arrested on July 23 in connection with the July 15 demonstrations and charged under 4 articles of the Criminal Code, including Article 278 (violent seizure of power).
Human rights activists said that he was being severely tortured for giving evidenceagainst the leader of the Popular Front Party, Ali Kerimli. — 16B-
