Fund to Support Families of Martyrs, Wounded in World War II Created
Baku / 08.12.20 / Turan: By the decree of the head of state dated December 8, a Support Fund (YAŞAT) was created for families of martyrs and wounded in the protection of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The Fund is designed to accumulate funds to assist in the treatment and support of participants in the Patriotic War and their families, to pay for their medical and other social costs.
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation includes representatives of the intelligentsia, cultural figures, and the military. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
