Gas pressure restored in a separate street
Baku/14.05.18/Turan: Today, on May 14, the gas pressure was restored in accordance with the standards only in a separate street in Buzovna settlement.
The director of the Turan news agency Mehman Aliyev lives on this street.
The gas supply was restored at 16:00, and by 18:00 the representatives of SOCAR arrived to the site to fix that the gas is being supplied normally.
"We interviewed neighbors, and they said that normal gas supply was restored," SOCAR spokesman said Alivev by phone.
"You restored the filing at 4:00 pm, and now you want to fix that it is in order," Aliyev retorted, noting that he was informed from other parts of the village that the gas was still coming with low pressure.
Thus, SOCAR decided to satisfy the complaint only of Aliyev, and thereby suspend public discussion of this problem.
"Gas pressure should be normalized for all consumers without exception, and we will achieve this by all legal means," Aliyev said.
On May 7, Turan Director informed the President of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, about the gas supply problem, and on May 11 he sent an information request that was published. http://www.turan.az/ext/news/2018/5/free/Want%20to%20Say/en/72001.htm
After that, Turan received reports from other districts of Baku about the gas supply problem. It turns out that the gas pressure in the last 20 days has fallen in many places. SOCAR employees explain to consumers the reduction of gas pressure by the transition from winter to summer season.
"The law" On gas supply "has no concept of the winter and summer season. Under the seasons, one should understand not the pressure of the gas, but the volumes that grow in the winter and fall in the summer for understandable reasons, "Aliyev said.
He noted that the gas should be supplied to houses with a pressure of at least 0.05 kgf / cm2 or 20 ml / bar (atmospheres), however, a pressure of 7 ml / bar is fixed.
"In any case, we are waiting for SOCAR's response to our information request, which should be given within maximum of seven working days," said the director of the Turan agency.--0--

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
