Baku / 14.06.18 / Turan: Today the last bell rings in schools of Azerbaijan announcing the end of the academic year. Many schoolchildren waited for this day with impatience and excitement. They came to school smart and with flowers. They have a holiday today. Some rejoice at the beginning of the long-awaited summer vacation, some are sad about the upcoming farewell with teachers and classmates with whom they went camping together, celebrated birthdays, and prepared for exams.
According to the Ministry of Education, this year 111,257 graduates come from Grade IX of general education institutions, and 83,001 people graduate from Grade XI. In total, more than 194,000 boys and girls will receive a certificate of graduation from school. According to forecasts, 165,780 children will be admitted to the first classes of schools and lyceums for the 2018-2019 school years.
This year, in the format of a traditional event, there has been no change. As usual, the "last bell" will be held on the territory of the educational institutions themselves. For sure, the scenarios of this celebration will not be very different from each other. There will be music, warm words addressed to teachers, farewell to the young, and congratulations.
The last bell rings for the last lesson. And then the streets and parks of the capital and other cities of the country will be filled with crowds of graduates, smiles, flowers, and colorful balls. For the first "adult dawns" they will go to the shore of the Caspian Sea, ride on boats on the Kura, and maybe go together on a merry holiday in a picturesque corner of nature.
And next week the final exams will begin. For students of the IX and XI classes they will be held simultaneously - June 21 and 27, and July 3. -0--
