Headquarters "Kura" will appreciate the transparency and efficiency of construction work in Zagatala region
Headquarters civil society "Kura" held regular monitoring of the status of the aftermath of the earthquake in Gakh-Zagatala zone.
The representatives of several media, including the news agency Turan, the newspaper "Yeni Musavat", "Azadlig", "Gundem Heber" as well as on-line and television Obyektiv.tv Azadlıqnews.tv. participated in the monitoring.
Monitoring was conducted to familiarize with the course of reconstruction works after the devastating earthquake on May 7, 2012 and aftershocks; to study problems concerning the population, quality-built in 2984 built by the Ministry for Emergency Situations (MES) for the disaster-affected people. The monitoring lasted one month.
The situation in the villages of Zagatala, in which the most affected by the earthquake are Faldarly, Gandhi, Ashagi Tala, Yukhari Tala, Bahmatli, Mukhakh, Mamruh, Gezbarah, Yukhary Chardakhlar, Gymyr, others, was studied.
The monitoring was observed by the representatives of the executive power and staff of emergency situations (ES) in Zagatala region. These structures and the local police did not interfere with monitoring.
Members of the staff "Kura" met with the First Deputy Head of the Administration of Zagatala region, as well as other representatives of local authorities and staff of the ministry of emergencies.
The monitoring revealed that in some villages there are problems in some places, in which residents complain of slow construction, reconstruction in the affected homes. At the same time, the Commission of MES continue inspections of homes and damage assessment.
In the coming days the results of the monitoring of the overall situation in the disaster area, the work, funding, transparency and efficiency of the use of these funds, the cost of the cost of construction of 1 house will be analyzed. Report on the findings and recommendations of the study will be presented to the public, and distributed in the MES and other relevant structures.–16D06--
