Hunger strikes in support of Taleh Bagirzade's demands are expanding
Baku/16.06.22/Turan: The leader of the Muslim Unity Movement (MUM) Taleh Bagirzade, who is on a hunger strike for the 13th day in prison, has health problems, Turan was tols by his wife Leyla Ismailzade.
“Taleh called today. His voice sounded weak. He has a fever. He is under medical supervision. Doctors are trying to bring down his temperature,” Ismayilzadeh said. According to her, Bagirzade intends to continue the hunger strike until the law enforcement officers who insulted God are punished.
The authorities did not respond to Bagirzade's hunger strike. According to the DME, nine prisoners are currently on hunger strikes in support of the demand, she said.
In particular, Abbas Hussein is on hunger strike for the 11th day, Jabbar Jabbarov - for the 10th day, Seyfaddin Shirvanov - for the 8th day, Jahad Babakishizade - for the 8th day, Veli Allahverdiyev, Elshad Ibrahimov, Elshan Abbasov - for the sixth day, Razi humbatov - 4th day, Afgan Abbasov - 3rd day. Vugar Aliyev and Eldar Abdullayev are on hunger strike for the second day. The Penitentiary Service could not be reached for comment.
The reason for the hunger strike of the believers was the insulting statements of the police during the detention and interrogation of the believers. --0--
