Hüseyn Abdullayev
Baku/04.24.21/Turan: Lawyer Javad Javadov met today at the Medical Institution of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice with his client, ex-deputy Huseyn Abdullayev.
As the lawyer noted in an interview with Turan, Abdullayev spoke about the X-ray and ultrasound examinations carried out in the hospital.
Doctors told Huseyn Abdullayev that he had prostate adenoma. The lack of treatment for prostate adenoma caused intoxication in his body.
About 3 liters of liquid was pumped out of Abdullaev's abdominal cavity with a catheter.
At the same time, Abdullaev's internal bleeding has not stopped yet.
In this regard, Abdullaev will undergo a laparoscopic examination.
“Most likely, in connection with prostate adenoma, a surgical operation will be required, and of course, taking into account the neglect of the disease, it is advisable to conduct it in a civilian clinic,” the lawyer said.
When asked whether Abdullaev's state of health gives grounds for early release from prison, the lawyer replied that "there are legal mechanisms for this."
In addition, Abdullaev already has the right to parole in connection with the serving of half of the sentence.
Note that on April 21, the Strasbourg court, on the basis of Rule 9 of the Organization's Regulations, requested information from the government on measures taken in connection with Abdullayev's condition. — 06B-

Huseyn Abdullayev transferred to hospital
Baku /24.04.21/Turan: On April 23, after lawyer Javad Javadov posted on Facebook photos of blood stains left on the napkins of prisoner Huseyn Abdullayev, the latter was transferred to the closed hospital of the Ministry of Justice.
In an interview with Turan, the lawyer said that on April 17, Abdullayev ended his hunger strike. Abdullayev began a hunger strike on April 12, thus protesting against the fact that he was denied medical assistance.
According to Javadov, Abdullayev insists on his immediate release.
The UN working group on unjustified arrests, having studied the appeal of former deputy Huseyn Abdullayev, imprisoned in Azerbaijan, came to the conclusion that his rights and freedoms were violated. The working group concluded that his detention in Istanbul and his extradition to the Azerbaijani authorities were unlawful.
"Although Abdullayev was not wanted by Interpol, he was illegally extradited from Turkey. However, the Azerbaijani side is not satisfied with the recommendatory nature of the UN decision," Javadov said.
Recall that in October 2020, the UN working group on arbitrary detention recognized the illegality of the arrest and extradition of Abdullayev and called for his release.
In the 1990s, Huseyn Abdullayev held leading positions in the oil and petroleum products business. In 2005 he became a member of parliament and criticized the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers. In March 2007, at a parliamentary meeting, a conflict arose between the deputy Fazail Agamaly. But only Abdullayev was punished. First, he was arrested and then sentenced to 2 years of probation for hooliganism.
In 2013, he left Azerbaijan. Abdullaev, who lives in Germany, has written a number of songs calling for mass protests and shared them on social media. After a while, a criminal case was initiated against him on tax charges. On April 22, 2018, after arriving from Germany to Turkey, he was detained and extradited to Azerbaijan.
In Baku, he was detained under articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan 192.2.2 (illegal entrepreneurship, large-scale income), 178.2.1 (fraud), 178.2.2, 178.2.4 (fraud), 182.2.1 (extortion by prior collusion with by a group of persons), 182.2.2 (repeated commission of the same actions) and 182.2.4 (repeated in the commission of a crime, the victim suffered damage on a large scale). He was then sentenced to 6 years in prison. –0—
