Institute of Zoology complained to the ANS against the Prosecutor Generals Office
Baku/21.04.17/Turan: The situation around the ANS TV channel remains tense and impartial, said in an interview with Turan Elman Yusifov, the director of the Institute of Zoology of the National Academy of Sciences. "The reality is that ANS captured 3000square meters in the building of the Institute of Zoology. The ANS agreement on the lease of the square has lost its force since October 1, 2016.
One thousand square meters of this territory, sealed by the prosecutor's office and is under the protection of the police. But ANS refuses to take out their property from the remaining 2000 square meters.
Previously, management responded to our calls, promising to take out their property, but recently, they do not even answer," said the director.
In this regard, an appeal was sent to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to help liberate the premises of the Institute from the property of the ANS, Yusifov said. He also expressed bewilderment at the behavior of ANS representatives who told the prosecutor's office that they were allegedly not allowed into the building. "This is an absolute lie," he stressed. "I hope that they will come and take their things and pay their municipal debts," concluded Elman Yusifov.
The ANS television channel was deprived of its license in July 2016. All attempts to appeal this decision in court were futile.
The reason for the decision to deprive the license was the accusations of the National Television and Radio Council about the propaganda of terrorism. It was meant that the ANS indirectly supported the supporters of a coup attempt in Turkey, which damaged the bilateral relations.-03C-
