Investigation into the cause of mass food poisoning in Covid hospitals
Baku / 12.12.20 / Turan: Mass poisoning in the Khirdalan of a modular type coronavirus hospital occurred after patients and medical personnel ate salad containing chicken meat, vegetable oil and vegetables (tomatoes). Signs of poisoning were diarrhea and vomiting. The victims had their stomachs washed, the blood was cleansed, there are no deaths from poisoning, and the patient of the hospital Rovshan Nistalzade told Turan the details of the December 9 event. He is now continuing treatment for coronavirus at this medical facility.
R. Nistalzade spoke about the conditions of treatment in a specialized hospital in Khirdalan for treatment of coronavirus. The patients have no complaints about the doctors and other personnel, the treatment is carried out at a high level, the food is good, with the exception of the indicated individual case of poisoning.
The problem is the lack of medical personnel - doctors, nurses and nurses. They do not have time to carry out the prescribed procedures in a timely manner. The hospital is almost full. There are not enough narrow specialists. The Khirdalan clinic has an ultrasound office, where a doctor from Cuba was assigned to work. The English-speaking foreigner turned out to be not an expert in this area, Nistalzade said.
“I'm worried about the monstrous dirt in the public toilets. The four-bed wards do not have their own toilet; people use the toilets in the corridor. After use, patients leave the toilets contaminated, do not clean up after themselves, and the nurses do not have time to clean the toilets. Patients can only claim to themselves - the lack of sanitary culture of those receiving treatment is striking. This is our national problem,” concluded Rovshan Nistalzade.
The representative of TƏBİB told Turan that the consequences of the poisoning have been overcome; the patients continue treatment. The Food Safety Agency (AGTA) is conducting the investigation in the relevant departments, TƏBİB said. They have no other information. AGTA is unable to find out about the results of the investigation.
At the same time, according to other sources, on December 9, food poisoning occurred not in one, but in several medical institutions in Baku. According to R. Nystalzale, a certain private company is the supplier of food to the Khirdalan type clinic. Apparently, this company supplies its products not to one, but to several medical institutions. —0—
