Irada Javadova rejects the claims of the Bar Association
Baku/12.06.18/Turan: Irada Javadova's lawyer believes that the decision of the presidium of the bar association to terminate her powers is based on the conclusion of the disciplinary commission of the said structure. She intends to present in court evidence of the groundlessness of her punishment. She stated this in an interview with Turan.
The Presidium of the Bar Association announced the termination of the authority of Irada Javadova and sent a relevant appeal to the court. The message spread in this connection said that the reason for this was a complaint of a certain citizen whose name is not disclosed.
"Complainant K.M. stated that Irada Javadova, without his consent and without concluding an agreement, wrote a complaint to the IBD about the illegal detention of the complainant in the Office for Combating Organized Crime and reported this to the press."
The complainant argues that such information is untrue and offends his honor and dignity. She asked the bar to take action against Javadova, the report said.
Javadova denied the allegations that she did not have an agreement to protect citizen K.M.
According to Javadova, she had a contract.
K.M. in April 2018, was detained and detained for two days in the Office for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was released after Javadova wrote an open letter to Minister Ramil Usubov. However, after some time K.M. complained to her own lawyer. Javadovanoted that she has numerous evidence that she legitimately defended citizen K.M and acted within the law. In addition to the contract, there are other evidences, the lawyer said. Besides, after the detention of KM. her mother applied to a lawyer. Javadova submitted an agreement with K.M. to the Bar of Lawyers, but colleagues expressed doubts about the reality of the client's signature. Javadova considers the conclusion of the disciplinary commission to be biased and erroneous.
On June 12, Javadova met with the chairman of the presidium of the Bar Association and presented additional evidence. She was told that there will be an appeal to Baku Administrative Economic Court No. 1 and she will be able to defend her rights.
Javadova also asked to let her finish the cases, but so far she has not received a response.
"Apparently I did not please someone," said the lawyer, noting that for 13 years of membership in the Bar Association she had never had any punishments and termination of her powers - a biased and unreasonably severe decision. -06B--
