Baku/11.07.17/Turan: On 11 July journalist Aynur Elgyunesh was questioned for more than three hours in the Serious Crimes Office of the Prosecutor General's Office.
She had been asked about the activity of the Internet resource Meydan TV, she told the RadioAzadlig. This time, similar questions were asked (the journalist was already interrogated in this case.)
"I cannot disclose all the details, since this is the secret of the investigation," said the journalist, who was interrogated in the case as a witness.
Nevertheless, she said that some persons involved in the case had testified against her.
"There were testimonies against me, in connection with them there were questions. In my answers I said that these statements are false," said Elgunesh.
As you know, the Meydan TV case has been combined with the case of journalist Afgan Mukhtarly. Previously, journalists Isolda Agayeva, Sevinj Vagifgizi, Aitadzh Ahmedova, Khadija Ismail, Islam Shihali, Natik Javadli, current and former Musavat party leaders Arif Gadzhily and Isa Gambar were questioned on these cases. -0--

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
