Baku / 12.07.17 / Turan: The FBI and the US Congress are continuing investigations about possible interference of Russia in the presidential campaign in the US and the transfer of compromising materials on Hillary Clinton to the members of Trump's team.

The next stage of the scandal began on Tuesday, when Donald Trump Jr. posted on Twitter his correspondence with Emin Agalarov, the former son-in-law of the Azerbaijani President.

"In an effort to be completely open, I publish full electronic correspondence with Rob Goldstone about the meeting on June 9, 2016. The first message of June 3, 2016 was sent by Rob and concerned a request from Emin [Agalarov], a man I knew since the beauty contest Miss Universe of 2013 held near Moscow. Emin and his father [Araz Agalarov] own a very respected company in Moscow, I thought the information they had was a compromising thing about Hillary Clinton. In the beginning, I just wanted to talk on the phone, but, when it did not work, I was told that in New York there will be a woman (with information), and I was asked to meet with her.

As the letter from Rob Goldstone says, on June 3, Russia's Prosecutor General met with Araz Agalarov and informed him of the presence of compromising information.

"This is part of the Russian government's campaign to help Trump win the election," Goldstone's letter to Trump Jr. said.

On Friday, the New York Times reported that a few months before Trump's victory in the presidential election, his son Donald Trump Jr., the son-in-law Jared Kushner and (at that time) the head of the electoral headquarters, Paul Manafort, met in New York with the Russian lawyer Veselnitskaya, who handed them some compromising material on Clinton, allegedly received from the Russian authorities.

Today, July 12 Araz Agalarov denied the transfer of any compromising people to Trump"s team. At the same time, he confirmed that his son Emin is friends with Trump"s son and communicates with him. -02D-
