Khatai District Court Sentences Working Desk Confederation Coordinator to 2 Months in Prison
Baku/22.09.23/Turan: Afifaddin Mammadov, the coordinator of the Working Desk Confederation, has been sentenced to 2 months of imprisonment according to articles 221.3 and 126.1 of the Criminal Code. This decision was made by the Khatai District Court on September 21.
The Working Desk Confederation confirmed this information in a statement. Mammadov, who asserts his innocence, claims that he is being unjustly targeted for his activities within the organization.
As a reminder, on September 20, Mammadov was detained outside his residence. According to his relatives, an individual near his house inflicted self-harm and then allegedly attacked Mammadov with a knife, which was subsequently used as evidence against him. Law enforcement officers promptly arrived at the scene, apprehending the suspect.
The case of Afifaddin Mammadov attracted attention because of the controversial circumstances of his arrest. It is expected that the trial in this case will continue, as Mammadov insists on his innocence.--0--
