Leyla Yunus fears of new attacks in prison
Leyla Yunus kept in the Baku prison N1 fears of violation of her rights and ill-treatment, as well as new acts of violence against her. These concerns are related to the authorities' intention to examine her health. She recalled that on August 19 she was transferred to the sanitary part of the prison, but after six days she was returned to the detention center, saying that the blood test showed that she did not have serious health problems.
In particular, she was shown the paper that she does not have hepatitis C, but neither her name, nor the name of the doctor were on the paper.
Leyla Yunus was told that she could take medicines in her ward. The staff of the Sanitary referred to the results of tests that supposedly held the German doctor Witt.
However, the daughter of Yunus contacted Dr. Witt in Berlin, who dismissed it, stating that he did not present any data on blood tests of Yunus to the Azerbaijani side. As for the results of his analysis, they just indicate the presence of cirrhosis and hepatitis C.
On September 30 at about 9 am at the Yunus was made to make a blood test. She replied: "I have made blood tests, and your told that I am healthy. Therefore, I refuse to be tested, because I do not trust your doctors. " She also recalled that on December 11, 2014 she also refused to give a blood sample, for which she was placed in solitary confinement. Now Yunus fears a repetition of this situation.
The human rights activist also said that in the medical examination are involved not only doctors of the Ministry of Justice, but also from the Ministry of Health, in particular, a specialist in liver diseases Murad Mammadov. In conclusion, Leyla Yunus blamed the two departments for her health.-06D--
