The Head of State issued an order on the appointment of Nushiravan Maharramov (Maharramli) a member of the National Council on Television and Radio.
The other 8 members of NCTR are also appointed by the Head of State for 2, 3 and 6 years.
Further, members elect the NCTR chairman. In this case, it is not difficult to guess who they will elect.
NCTR is intended to regulate and monitor the implementation of laws and journalistic and ethical standards by the media. However, in reality, NCTR practically does not interfere in any issues, acting as an observer. In particular, numerous addresses from the media and journalists on violations of the law and their rights by various bodies, including pro-government media, have remained unanswered. -02D-

The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
