Media Review - February 22, 2019
The unity of power and people, the situation of residents of the Bayil slope, and the problem of registering apartments are the themes of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about the country's successes, the main of which is the unity of the people and the government, which is the result of a successful policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev. The reality shows that there are few such rapidly developing countries like Azerbaijan in the world, the author believes.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the situation with the residents of the Bayil slope, which was subjected to a landslide. Problems arose with the resettlement of 27 internally displaced persons who built houses in the landslide zone with their own funds. Understanding that they will not be given the compensation, the people do not want to move. And the place they are offered is in the village of Gobu.
Those residents who are promised to pay 700 manat per square meter do not agree either. On February 21, the head of the executive branch of the Sabail District was to meet with them, but the meeting did not take place.
The newspaper Novoye Vremya writes about high-rise buildings without registration in the light of the presidential decree "On the simplification of resolutions for the operation of a number of multi-storey buildings."
Experts believe that about 10 thousand people live in 400 buildings that do not have registration. -0----
