The newspaper Azerbaijan in the article New Goals of Ilham Aliyev talks about a new model of the country's economic development. The author draws attention to the fact that the head of state at the last meeting of the government on April 30 focused specifically on this topic. That is, the President did not speak about tasks for a short period, but focused on a long-term strategy.

According to the author, the outlines of the new model have already been outlined in the preparation and implementation of strategic road maps for 2016-2019, on the country's entry into the modernization stage, the successful implementation of economic reforms and measures to strengthen the social protection of the population.

The website Modern.az in the article MP: Serious Problems with Food Security in Azerbaijan quotes Milli Majlis member Vahid Ahmedov. According to him, despite the fact that the Food Security Agency reveals some facts in general, the situation remains unsatisfactory. Recently, cases of food poisoning, sales in supermarkets of expired products, and the presence of harmful substances in the composition of food products have become frequent.

He considers it necessary to strengthen control over the implementation of the state program on food safety for 2019-2025. Food products from the moment of passing through the border until they reach consumers should undergo control and laboratory tests. The control over supermarkets, some of which already produce food themselves, must also be strengthened.

It is necessary to solve personnel issues, strengthen the interaction of this structure with the State Customs Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture to prevent the importation of substandard goods.

The newspaper Yeni Musavat publishes expert opinions on the subject of raising the limit on gas consumption at a reduced price. It is noted that the increase in the limit to 2,200 cubic meters of gas per year is enough to heat apartments of 80-90 square meters with Combi appliances.

Expert Gubad Ibadoglu considers possible the complete abolition of the limit. This is especially important for residents of the regions. Moreover, in his opinion, Azerigaz should return to the population the difference in double tariffs above the limit of 1,700 cubic meters over the past two years. Ibadoglu also proposes to abolish the limit on electricity consumption.
