State aid to the victims in connection with the coronavirus, the causes of problems in the electronic registration system, the situation with manat and insurance, the number of artificial respiration devices are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the state support program for victims of the coronavirus pandemic. The amount of support is 2.5 billion manat. The Action Plan approved on April 4 by the Cabinet covers the sphere of employment and social welfare. Assistance will be provided to 1 million 900 thousand citizens of the country.
The site “Yenisabah.az” discusses problems in the electronic circulation system. Within two months, in connection with the pandemic, 200 thousand unemployed should receive 190 manat. However, electronic registration of citizens has technical problems, which is explained by the numerous applications.
Experts consider this the result of problems in preparing the Internet resource when the number of potential applicants was not taken into account.
The site “Bizimyol.info” discusses the situation with manat and insurance. Experts believe that the next 5 years will be difficult for the Central Bank, since there were serious miscalculations in its policy.
The central bank is more inclined to a tight monetary policy, justifying this with rising inflation and a drop in the manat. The Central Bank is deprived of the opportunity to increase the money supply and ensure economic activity; therefore, it is forced to focus on neutralizing pressure on the manat.
The site “Yeniavaz.com” discusses the situation with artificial respiration apparatus. Due to the great demand all over the world, there is a shortage of these devices. Most of these devices are manufactured in China, and today the cost of one device has risen to 96 thousand dollars.
Data on the number of such devices in Azerbaijan were not disclosed. Today, 751 people with active coronavirus are in Azerbaijan, 23 of them are in serious condition.
