According to some reports, utilities are free for residents of the city, this is paid for from funds coming from abroad. There are no jobs in Khankendi. The Armenians are sitting and waiting for the solution of the status issue, they want to revive the issue of the referendum and mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The chairman of the Umid party, Igbal Aghazadeh, claims that the Ministry of Agriculture is embezzling the money by inflating the price of breeding animals, agricultural machinery and fertilizers.
