The reasons for the ambiguous attitude towards vaccination, the consequences of rising water prices, criticism of officials by the head of state, and an increase in the number of suicides are topics of today's press.
The website Yenisabah.az discusses the reasons for the fear of people being vaccinated against coronavirus infection. Experts believe that the negative attitude can be explained by the ignorance of people who consider the vaccination process dangerous. Fear is heightened by vaccination campaigns in many countries. In addition, people are afraid that the vaccine will lead to side effects.
The website Bizimyolinfo.az writes that the increase in water tariffs will affect other areas as well. The Tariff Council increased the water charge from 35 qepiks to 70 qepiks per cubic meter, and the cost of sewerage services increased from 15 to 30 qepiks.
As the reasons for the increase in the tariff, Azersu speaks of the improvement and expansion of water supply to the population in recent years, as well as related costs.
Experts point out that there are areas where water is used constantly and an increase in prices will lead to an increase in prices for vegetables, herbs, car washes and ordinary drinking water.
The website Müsavat.com discusses an interview with President Ilham Aliyev to AzTV, where he severely criticizes high-ranking officials for wanting to establish their branches in Shusha. It's about ministries, committees and services. The head of state believes that officials want to create conditions for themselves for recreation, build villas and fence them off.
The website Redaktor.az writes about the increase in the number of suicides. Some blame the press for this, arguing that it is necessary to ban writing about such cases. According to some media representatives, such events are associated with the psychological state of society; therefore bans will not solve the problem. Others believe that it is necessary to solve problems that lead to suicide, and not to put prohibitions. According to psychologists, the motive for these suicides is reduced to depression and the desire of suicides to punish their loved ones.
