Media Review for January 17, 2019
The level of gasification in the country, the problems of tourism in Azerbaijan, and the annulment of unreasonable disability are the leading topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the level of gasification in the country. In 2018, gas pipelines with a length of 3,193 km were stretched. A total of 526.6 km of gas pipelines were repaired. Gasification reached 95% in the country. Last year, 150 villages and towns were gasified in the Agstafa, Barda, Zardab, Tovuz, Guba, Shamakhi, Goychay, Gadabay, Oguz, Lerik and Yardimly regions. However, the issue of gasification of remote villages is still on the agenda.
The website Musavat.com writes about the situation with tourism with the economist Vusala Ahmedova, which indicates the presence of price lawlessness in relation to tourists.
As a result, the increased tourist flow began to decline gradually. For the price of one night in Baku, you can live a week in neighboring Georgia and three days in Turkey.
Azerbaijan does not even enter the first hundred in its tourist rating. Tourists arriving in Azerbaijan make up 0.03% of the global volume.
The problems of tourism in Azerbaijan are expensiveness, low level of service, and lack of work to attract tourists.
The website Modern.az writes about the cancellation of unreasonable disability in relation to 1,055 people. The website discusses this topic with a representative of the Ministry of Health, Fazil Talibov.
According to him, this issue has been under investigation since May 2018, as a result of which payments have been stopped, thereby saving state budget funds of 3 million manat.--0--
