The fight against the coronavirus pandemic, water problems in the Neftchala region, and fences around the Caspian coast are topics of today's media.
The official newspaper Azerbaijan continues to write about the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Due to non-compliance by citizens with the established rules, the number of infected people is growing. In this regard, on June 29, parliament approved a decision to increase fines for violation of quarantine. An individual will pay 100 manat for not wearing masks, and not 50, as before, an official will pay 200 manat, and a legal entity will pay 400 manat.
The website Yenisabah.az writes about a water problem in the Neftechala district. This is due to a decrease in the water level in the Kura, which created problems with irrigation of crops.
The change in the Kura delta led to the fact that the waters of the Caspian flowed in the opposite direction and fell into the Kura. Salt water rose up, rendering river water unusable at a depth of 20-30 km.
Water carriers deliver drinking water to people, but it is impossible to water the sown areas and deliver enough water to the livestock.
Azersu said that within two months the problem with the construction of the water supply system will be completed.
The Modern.az website cites MP Musa Guliyev’s proposal that the Operational Headquarters urgently needs to find alternative methods to combat not wearing masks. He believes that fines cannot be a solution. The deputy believes that it is necessary to strengthen control in supermarkets, on public transport, in the subway, and in pharmacies.
The website Musavat.com raises the issue of fences around the Caspian coastline, and this question is raised every time in the summer season, but to no avail. Laws in Azerbaijan do not apply to high fences, because no laws have been written for oligarchs. –0-----
