The significance of the sacrifice ceremony, the impact of the drought on grain growing, the expert's view of the growth in gasoline sales, the likelihood of including healthy eating lessons in curricula are the topics of today's media.

The newspaper Azerbaijan in honor of Gurban Bayram writes about the significance of this ritual of sacrifice.

The sacrifice is compulsory for pilgrims performing the Hajj, for other Muslims it is optional. Wealthy Muslims should share sacrificial meat with those in need.

The Müsavat.com website writes that the drought is affecting grain production. Already 90% of the grain collection in the country has been completed, with the exception of Nakhchivan.

The planted area is 973,749.35 hectares. Of these, 613,460.35 hectares are for wheat, and 360,289.35 hectares are for barley.

17,000 combine harvesters were involved in grain harvesting. The prices for harvesting, like last year, are 38 manats per hectare.

This year, in the central regions of the country, the drought has damaged crops per 100 thousand hectares. Therefore, the grain harvest is 5.5% less than last year. The yield was 31.3 centners per hectare. To date, harvested 1.8 million tons of wheat.

The Yenisabah.az website discusses the growth in gasoline sales. However, experts are questioning the official data, because under a strict quarantine regime, a large number of cars are idle.

In January-June 2019, gasoline was sold in the amount of 988 million 100 thousand manats. In 2020, over the same period, this amount decreased by only 0.2%.

Yeniavaz.com discusses introducing healthy eating lessons in schools. This issue has been discussed for over a year, but there has been no progress.

The pediatrician also addresses the issue of teaching in one class for nearly 40 students. This is unacceptable from the point of view of sanitary and hygienic standards, especially during a pandemic. This is also bad from a teaching standpoint, as the teacher cannot give enough attention to all students.
