The situation in Karabakh after the Patriotic War, the talks on whether a strict quarantine will be introduced, and the reasons for the increase in suicides are topics of today's media.
The website Yenisabah.az discusses the situation with the Lachin corridor with the political scientist M. Asadullazadeh. According to the political scientist, “if the Russian peacekeepers continue their activities in Karabakh in their current form, Azerbaijan may demand their withdrawal in two years.
Thus, a difficult situation has arisen with the Lachin corridor, through which Armenian officials visit Karabakh, and the military personnel of the Armenian Armed Forces go there to cheat. All of this is contrary to the spirit and letter of the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020.
The political scientist believes that Russia did not ensure the fulfillment of the main points of the statement. In addition, Armenia avoids negotiations on the “Meghri corridor”, referring to the internal situation in Armenia.
It turns out that if, due to the tense situation inside Armenia, communications are not opened, the agreement on November 10 may be completely violated.
The political scientist believes that from next year Azerbaijan should demand the withdrawal of Russian troops from Karabakh, while strengthening its military alliance with Turkey and Pakistan.
The website Mətbuat.az is discussing with the deputy Azer Badamov the possibility of going into strict quarantine on the pre-holiday days. According to the deputy, it depends on the citizens what decision the Operational Headquarters will make. So, the fear of the population was caused by the growth rates of the infected on March 6-9 (about 300 people).
The MP believes that citizens should behave extremely responsibly. Only in this case can we talk about an even greater mitigation of the quarantine regime, and isolation will not be necessary.
The website Müsavat.com writes about the increase in suicide cases, recalling the March 9 tragedy in the village of Lokbatan, where two high school girls threw themselves from the roof of a nine-story building.
The author recalls the suicide committed by a 20-year-old student a few days ago. He also threw himself from a high-rise building. Internet games can be the cause of suicide.
MP Musa Gasimli believes that suicides should make society think seriously. It is also necessary to increase the number of psychologists in schools. Psychologist Elnur Rustamov believes that education and prevention work is needed. At the same time, Azerbaijan, fortunately, lags far behind many countries in the issue of suicides.
