The website Yap.org.az comments on the results of the President"s visit to Turkmenistan, under which 20 agreements were signed, as well as a joint declaration of the heads of state.
The meeting of the Presidents of both countries will contribute not only to development at the regional level, but also to the development of the East-West corridor.
The website Modern.az writes about the ongoing landslide process in Badamdar, which began on October 12.
Deputy Prime Minister Hajibala Abutalybov, commenting on the situation, said that Japanese specialists who signed an agreement with the Emergency Situations Ministry continue to work on the territory. Purchased equipment must be installed in five areas and work within 4 months.
After that, relevant examinations will be carried out, and then work will begin on the territory, which will end on July 1, 2019.
Abutalybov said that all houses in this area will be demolished, because the landslide zone has doubled.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the rise in price of building materials. The situation is commented on by expert Natig Jafarli. It links price increases with comparative activity in the construction sector. The rise in price of masonry is connected with seven criminal cases and checks of stone quarries.

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads.
