Implementation of infrastructure projects, the situation in the banking system, and growth in the non-oil sector are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the country, despite international hindrances. The author lists all transport projects in which Azerbaijan plays a key role - North-South and East-West. The website Azapolitika.info discusses the situation in the banking system, high interest on loans, and ways to reduce them. MP Vahid Ahmedov believes that issuing loans at high interest rates creates
serious problems. Measures to improve the banking system did not lead to lower rates, which today make up 25-30%, although they should not be higher than 15-16%.
The website Marja.az writes that in 2023, non-oil exports of Azerbaijan will exceed $ 3 billion. This amount is less than the funds sold at foreign exchange auctions of the Central Bank during the year.
For the 9 months of 2019, the State Oil Fund sold funds in the amount of 4 billion 512 million 850 thousand dollars.
For 8 months of this year, non-oil exports increased by 15%. Next year this figure will be 20%, and in 2023 it is expected that it will exceed $ 3 billion.
In January-July 2019, non-oil products worth $ 1 billion 133 million were exported from the country.
