Baku / 07.11.19 / Turan: In connection with the allegations of the journalist and activist Mahbub Zulfugarly, who lives in the Imishli region, about an attempt to deliberately run him over by a car him in the city of Imishli on November 6, the Turan agency received a refutation from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
It notes that in connection with Zulfugarly’s statement in the media, video recordings from surveillance cameras along the entire street were viewed, employees of trade and services located around the facility, as well as security personnel located near the district post office were interviewed.
As a result, it was established that at the time Zulfugarly called, no road incident occurred.
In addition, since the indicated place is located at the beginning of the street on this road, it is generally impossible to drive a car at high speed.
“The allegations of this person are a figment of his imagination and are slanderous,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zulfugarly “often disseminates untrue, false and slanderous information” in newspapers and on websites.
