Ministry of Culture calls for vigilance
Due to the holiday season, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan called on citizens to be careful when using the services of travel agencies. In particular, it is recommended when going abroad; people should clarify if the travel agencies have licenses for this type of activity, and to conclude a contract.
When having a rest in the regions of Azerbaijan, in hotels and other tourist sites, people should ask for availability of licenses.
In case of problems in the sphere of tourist services people should contact the Ministry by phone: (012) 492 88 50 or e-mail: muraciet@mct.gov.az.
This is stated on the website the Ministry of Culture. However, there is no explanation, how travel agencies can function in the country without proper travel agency licensees.-06D-
