Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interior Ministry "respond" to the appeal of the international organizationghtenment
The Chairman of the Public Association "Legal Enlightenment of Sumgait Youth" and editor of the online publication "Yukselish Namine" Elchin Mammadov was summoned today to the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDCOC) MIA. They talked with him for three hours.
The reason for the call was his appeal to the international organizations about the illegal detention of May 29 on arrival in Baku from Europe, and subsequent questioning for 12 hours in GDCOC.
As it turned out, after a complaint the international human rights organization Front line defende sent a letter to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry about violation of the rights human rights activist and journalists. Foreign Ministry sent the message to Front line in the Interior Ministry, and then it to the GDCOC.
Today, with the activist talked the deputy head of the investgation department of the GDCOC Murad Guliyev , and condemned him of the complaint to international organizations.
"I told them that I was forced to turn to international organizations because I did not get any explanation on the reasons for the ban on my departure from the country.
At the end of a three-hour conversation the activist was promised that he would receive a written answer about the reasons for limiting travel.-06D-
