More Than 84 Kg of Drugs Seized from another Group of Drug Couriers
Baku / 26.09.20 / Turan: Border guards detained another large consignment of drugs on the border with Iran, detaining three drug couriers.
According to the press service of the Border Service, three drug couriers crossed the border near the village of Shahseven, Beylagan region, and were spotted by border guards. After warning shots from the border guards, they ran back. During an inspection of the area, a man was seen hiding in the bushes with four packages. Examination of the packages revealed 52 kg of opium, 32 kg of heroin and 10 kg of marijuana, as well as 120 methadone tablets.
The arrested person was Elshan Suleymanov of 1983. During the investigation, it was established that other members of the group arrived at the scene to collect the drugs. Later they were detained in a VAZ car located near this place. The detainees confessed that they had arrived for drugs. -02D-
