Baku / 14.10.18 / Turan: In the fourth round of the League of Nations, the Azerbaijani national football team played a draw with the national team of Malta with the score 1: 1 in Baku.
Despite the overall advantage and numerous scoring chances, the Azerbaijani national team left for a break, losing with a score of 0: 1. The Maltese scored a goal in the very first attack at the 37th minute (midfielder Rowen Muscat).
In the second half, the Azerbaijani team managed to level the score. At the 52nd minute, Araz Abdullayev scored.
The remaining time of the match, despite the large number of scoring chances, the Azerbaijani team could not get ahead in the score. In the final moments the national team players did not show the necessary skill or accuracy.
In a parallel match of the third group of Division "D" of the League of Nations, the leading national team of Kosovo played a draw with the team of the Faroe Islands with a score of 1: 1.
After four rounds, Kosovo continues to lead with 8 points. The Azerbaijani national team with 6 points ranks second, the Faroe Islands with 4 points are third, and Malta with two points is at the fourth place.
The Azerbaijani team will hold its next match against the Faroe islands in Baku on November 17. -71D-
