Nature Reserve Employees Were Poachers
People engaged in illegal hunting antelopes were detained in Salyan. The poachers were employees of the Ministry of Environment.
As reported by the Interior Ministry, in the course of search operations on December 24 employees of Salyan District Police Department found 10 skins and 5 skulls of antelopes, one live baby antelope and a gun TOZ-16 in the backyards of workers of Shirvan National Park, Sayar Najafov, Intigam Agasiyev and Islam Rzayev. The three people were arrested. A criminal case was initiated.
The Ministry of Environment, in turn, confirmed that the detainees were Shirvan National Park rangers. -16D06
