New cracks are fixed on the Bayil slope
Baku / 23.11.18 / Turan: Today, November 23, new cracks were noted in the landslide zone of Batamdar on the outskirts of Baku.
According to the National Geological Survey of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, tensions are observed in the landslide zone. New cracks formed in the lower part of the slope.
In the "20" district of the village of Bayil, a landslide was recorded in 2013. At that time, seven wells were drilled to discharge groundwater, which accumulated due to lack of sewage. This year, the first landslide in this part of Baku occurred on 10 October. Officials reported that on October 12, residents of 11 houses were evacuated from the landslide zone, and the utility networks of houses were blocked.
In recent months, landslides have been recorded in other parts of Bayil, in the village of Zikh, which is at the opposite end of the capital, as well as in the center of Baku.-0--

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
