New weather website in Azerbaijan
Baku /25.09.19 / Turan: The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has developed a new site, meteo.az, for timely reporting on weather, said at a press conference today the director of the National Department of Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology Umayra Tagieva.
The site meteo.az will allow the population of Azerbaijan and everyone to receive reliable information about the expected weather conditions.
The site will contain information on actual weather, present a weekly weather forecast for Baku and in the regions of the country.
Based on meteorological data covering more than a 100-year observation period, information will be posted on record values - the absolute maximum and minimum temperatures.
Agrometeorological surveys for farmers, medical and meteorological forecasts and warnings for weather sensitive people, weather reports on the country's roads, and in summer weather data on beaches will also be presented.
In the cold season, the site will inform about the conditions at the winter resorts.
For people with vision problems, voice predictions will be presented. - 06D-

On Tuesday, rainy weather with thunderstorms and moderate northwest wind is expected in the Baku, according to meteorologists. The rainy weather will continue untill Wednesday evening. The air temperature at night will be +7 to +10°C, and during the day, +11 to +13°C. The humidity will be 80-90% at night and 70-80% during the day. Rain with thunderstorms will also affect other parts of the country. Snow is expected in mountainous areas. There will be fog in places, with westerly winds.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
