On Friday afternoon the activist of the NIDA Movement Elgiz Qahramanov was detained by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (MDCOC) of the Interior Ministry on Friday afternoon. The reasons for his arrest are still unknown, according to the NIDA Movement. Now his colleagues are looking for a lawyer.
It is noteworthy that today the pro-government website haqqin.az published an article claiming the beginning of a lawsuit against the prosecutor's office of Azerbaijan supporters of the Turkish preacher Fatullah Gulen.
At the same time, Elgiz Qahramanov was presented as one of the active supporters of Gulen, a close “resident” of Gulen, the leader of the PFPA Ali Kerimli.
However, NIDA Movement called those allegations nonsense. Qahramanov studied in Turkey and came back two years ago, but he did not sympathize with the Turkish religious circles.
Lately a young man was engaged in tutoring, and have not worked in a structure close to supporters of Gulen.-06D-
