Nine people admitted to hospital due to fire in Azersun park
Baku/29.04.22/Turan: The Sumgayit Emergency and Urgent Care Hospital received 9 people due to the fire at Azersun Industrial Park that broke out in the evening on 28 April.
Seven of them were sent to outpatient treatment after receiving primary medical care.
Two people diagnosed with smoke poisoning remain under observation at the hospital. Their lives are not in danger, the Combined Territorial Medical Units (Tabib) told Turan.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office and Emergency Situations Ministry, a criminal case on the fire under Article 225.2 of the Criminal Code (violation of fire safety regulations resulted in the victim's death by negligence or other grave consequences) has been initiated.
According to the preliminary version, the fire was caused by a plastic waste fire on the territory of the industrial park, from where the flames spread to food and other warehouses covering a vast territory.-05D-
