One Million Medical Masks Seized from Speculators
Baku / 09.03.20 / Turan: During the operation of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, facts of speculative sale of medical masks and their smuggling abroad were revealed.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Iranian citizens Bahadur Davud, Moenifard Seidmuhammed and Saviz Amiryusif were detained while trying to sell a large batch of medical masks.
In addition, a large number of medical masks were seized in an apartment rented by Chinese citizens, which were planned to be smuggled to China.
Arif Ismailov, a resident of Baku, who was suspected of supplying Chinese citizens with medical masks in large numbers, was also detained.
Azerbaijani citizens Elvin Balametov, Elshan Alekberov, Aslan Musayev, Shahin Farzaliyev and Vagif Mehbaliyev, who sold medical masks at multiple inflated prices, were also detained.
In total, the police seized more than 1 million medical masks. An investigation is underway, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. –06D-
