Baku / 26.11.18 / Turan: Domestic violence continues to be a serious problem in Azerbaijan, announced at a conference dedicated to the 16-day campaign "Stop Violence Against Women and Girls" held on Monday.
Thus, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Adigezal Adigezalov said that 112 women had committed suicide in the country in the first 9 months of this year.
According to him, 135 cases of incitement to suicide were recorded. Among those who committed suicide are 11 minors. The number of crimes related to domestic violence reached 678. More than two thousand people were held responsible for crimes against women.
At the same time, he did not analyze the reasons for such a large number of suicides and did not express ideas about measures to prevent suicides. -02D-
