Parliament discusses penalties for noise indoors and outdoors
The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee for several days has been debating amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences on punishment of those who violate the silence in public places, recreational areas, and in homes at night.
In particular, it is proposed to introduce a fine for noise from 00 pm to 7 am in the above areas in the amount of 300-400 manats. For legal entities the amount of the fine will be 2500-3500 manats. Under noise is meant loud music, screaming, high volume music, and radio. At present, the punishment for such violations provides a warning or a fine in the amount of 30-50 manats. These amendments are recommended for approval by the Parliament, and shall come into force on 1 May next year. -05D-
