People in Azerbaijan aged from 20 to 40 will be vaccinated
Baku / 02.28.19 / Turan: In Azerbaijan, people aged 20-40 years will be vaccinated against measles. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Health of the country.
This measure is carried out in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
Heads of medical departments and agencies of the Ministry of Health were instructed to carry out immunization activities among the population aged 20-40 years in March and April 2019 in Baku and other cities and districts of the republic where there is evidence of measles.
For this purpose, special medical teams will be created in outpatient clinics.
In 2018, measles outbreaks were observed in a number of European countries, as well as Georgia"s neighbors Georgia and Russia. Subsequently, cases of measles were reported in Azerbaijan. -06D--
