PFPA Activist Detained after Appealing to Ilham Aliyev
Baku / 03/15/19 / Turan: The activist of the Popular Front Party Aghil Humbatov was detained on March 15. According to the PFPA, the reason for the detention was an appeal to President Ilham Aliyev through social networks.
A resident of the village Zira, Humbatov, said he was unemployed and raised three children, and the local authorities are not interested in his problems, therefore, he is forced to make a living selling cardboard.
On the afternoon of March 15, he was detained and taken to the No. 1 office of the Khazar district police department. However, his relatives and PFPA representatives are not provided with information about the reason for the detention.
It was not possible to get comments from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police station.
Note that the head of state has repeatedly asked citizens to personally contact him on any issues, promising to consider them. Numerous assistants to the head of state and his representatives belonging to the ruling New Azerbaijan Party say the same thing, calling it "taking care" of ordinary citizens. -06D-
