A PFPA activist, a resident of the Khazar district of Baku Azer Kerimov was taken away in an unknown direction, according to the deputy chairman of the party Gozel Bayramli. According to her, it is only known he managed to send a message to a friend on the phone, saying he was being taken away by the police.
Recall that Azer Kerimov was already detained a few days ago. The reason was his status in social networks about Zaur Sultanov, who died in the yard of Police Station №1 of the Khazar district. In this status Kerimov wrote that Zaur Sultanov died as a result of torture. He also used the word "militants of Ramil Usubov."
At Police Station №1 he was caused to wrtite an explanatory note and demanded that he should delete the "offensive" status asbout the minister. However, Kerimov refused.
As for Zaur Sultanov who died in the police department, it is known he was invited to Police Station №1 to testify. According to the official version, he was waiting for his turn, when he fell ill and died right in the police yard. In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that Zaur Sultanov suffered from heart failure. However, Zaur’s family claims that their son died from torture. -05B04-
