PFPA Activist Released from Police (UPDATED)
Baku / 28.01.20 / Turan: The PFPA activist Nijat Abdullazadeh was released three hours after the arrest.
According to Abdullazadeh, he was brought to a police department he did not know.
“They began to question me about the alleged protest rally in defense of our party’s activist Zamin Salayev, who was arrested on January 13 under administrative procedure. I said that I do not have any information on this issue,” said Abdullazadeh.

PFPA activist detained
Baku / 28.01.20 / Turan: Activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Nijat Abdullazadeh today was detained in Baku by civilians. This was reported to Turan in PFPA.
“Nijat Abdullazadeh was detained by three people in civilian clothes at about 4 pm near the Nariman Narimanov metro station and taken to an unknown destination,” the Popular Front Party said. According to the same source, an unknown person called him and asked him to give him the book “The Last Dervish” by the editor of the “Azerbaijan Saati” program. When Abdullazade came to the meeting, he was detained.
The party links the detention of Abdullazade with his critical statuses on social networks.
The Baku City Police Headquarters told Turan that after clarifying the issue, they would provide information. Abdullazadeh had previously been subjected to administrative arrests and fines. –06D-
