Plastic littered the beaches on the northern coast of Absheron
Baku/21.11.22/Turan: Emissions of plastic granules were observed on the Absheron beaches of Fatmai and Goradil the day before, the "Ecofront" public organization reports.
This plastic is dangerous for waterfowl and marine life, environmentalists say.
“Plastic must be removed from the coast as soon as possible, and the source must be found and eliminated,” "Ecofront" notes in its appeal to the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The plastic granules are a product of primary oil refining, which are used in the production of plastic products. Obviously, they came to the coast from the enterprises of Sumgayit, where it is produced by petrochemical enterprises. --06D--
