Polad Aslanov complained about the lack of medical care
Baku/29.01.22/Turan: The 20-day hunger strike of journalist Polad Aslanov in prison has caused negative consequences in his body.
In particular, he developed severe swelling in his legs, hands and face, the journalist's wife told Turan.
According to her, the doctors have not examined him after he stopped the hunger strike. He told this to the staff of the ombudsman's office who visited him the day after he stopped his hunger strike.
"Due to the appearance of edema, Polad asked for medical assistance; however, it was not provided. They say to him: "Today there is no doctor, tomorrow they will see" and so goes on every day", - said G. Aslanova.
According to her, the journalist is currently in the medical institution of the penitentiary service.
