Determining the priorities of the country's economic development, the lack of declarations on the incomes of officials, rising unemployment, and the sale of meat of incomprehensible origin are the leading topics of today's press.

The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the immediate tasks of the country's economic development. According to Ilham Aliyev, henceforth the economy will develop exclusively due to reforms, innovations, technologies and non-oil sector.

Echo publishes an article about the concealment of their incomes by officials. It's been 12 years since Azerbaijan adopted the law "On declaring incomes of state officials".

In 2005, Ilham Aliyev instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare a mechanism for income declaration that has not been developed to this day.

Article 18 “Basic Duties of Civil Servants” of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service" states that a civil servant is obliged "to submit annually to the head of the body, where the service is held, a financial report on his income and property status, and to indicate in it the source, type and amount of additional income ".

Novoye Vremya writes about the problem of unemployment. The cuts in the public sector continue, and the level of unemployment benefits has fallen by 2.1% compared to February.

The veterinary service of the Ministry of Agriculture denies the sale of meat from dogs or donkeys. At the same time, the veterinary service announced the discovery of 70 tons of meat and meat products of incomprehensible origin. The use of horse meat (5.3 tons) was also revealed.  –0--
