Bizim Yol writes that 90% of the regions of Azerbaijan live on state subsidies. Only Baku can pay its expenses due to the internal revenue.  After Baku, Sumgait and Absheron come. The expert Azer Mehdiyev believes that an important role in this issue is played by dependence on oil, since 60-70% of the budget is generated by oil.

After the devaluation the implementation of large and expensive projects is not possible and the authorities should proceed to a saving mode. If oil falls to 25 dollars, the decline in economic activity in Azerbaijan will be inevitable, Mehdiyev believes.
