Protest action against violence against activists and journalists still took place /UPDATED/
Baku/14.05.22/Turan: The efforts of the police to stop the protest, gave a temporary result. After blocking dozens of participants for some time, the police still allowed them to continue moving and complete the rally.
Chanting - "No to mafia power!", "No to violence!" the activists continued to move and went out to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they read out the resolution of the action.
“If such crimes are not put an end to, political assassinations will resume in the country. We demand that the authorities put an end to the violence, investigate and bring to justice those responsible for the attacks on journalists and social activists,” the resolution says. -02B-

Police prevents the action of protest against attacks on activists and journalists
Baku/14.05.22/Turan: Most of the organizers of today's protest against attacks on activists and journalists were detained by the police before the start of the action.
Thus, Bahtiyar Hajiyev, Aly Alizade, Fuad Ahmadli, Aziz Mamiyev were detained at 14:00 (an hour before the start of the action) when they were leaving their homes.
However, Rufat Safarov was not detained and was among the protesters. Then Bakhtiar Hajiyev joined the participants of the action. Nevertheless, the march took place. Dozens of gathered activists, accompanied by numerous policemen and journalists, headed from Fountain Square towards the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, 100 meters to the building, the police began to separate the participants and blocked their movement further.–03B06-
