Baku/19.05.22/Turan: On May 19, in the city of Salyan (120 km south of Baku), groups of local residents held a protest against drugs by marching to the building of the executive branch.
The protesters expressed dissatisfaction with the inaction of the authorities against the background of the growing spread of drug addiction in the region.
“Why do our children have to die, why don't the authorities stop the drug trade, which is going on almost openly,” said one of the protesters.
The head of the local police came out to the citizens, who listened to them and announced the necessary measures to combat the drug business. He also invited the protesters to give specific facts and suggestions to be considered.
